Bhavan's S. Ramakrishnan Centre of Excellence (BSRCE) at Shri. K. S. Unni Navathi Auditorium, Swami Vivekananda Sarva Dharma Maitri Pratishthan. The facility was officially inaugurated on 8th July 2026 by Shri Suresh Gopi, the Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas and Tourism, Government of India. The event marks a significant milestone in Bhavan's commitment towards learner-centered, competency-based, technology-enabled, and value-oriented approaches to education through continuous professional development.
The ceremony was attended by distinguished dignitaries, including Principals and Bhavan's Management of Thrissur and other Kendras from Kerala and Coimbatore, academic experts, management personnel, government officials, and members of the press. The establishment of this Centre of Excellence aims to bridge the gaps in implementing the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and serves as a hub for collaborative ecosystem development.
The function concluded with an official vote of thanks delivered by Dr. P. Indira Devi.
The event was followed by a one-day workshop for Principals and Heads of Schools on “Training Need Analysis (TNA)” using Classroom Observation Data and Developing School Training Calendar by Dr. Arunima Mazumdar, Director Training, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, in the new state-of-the-art training facility on the 3rd floor of Bhavan's Thrissur Kendra.










Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Thrissur Kendra, in association with Learnware i Edutech, successfully conducted JAGRAN 2026 Phase-2 – Session 1 (Malayalam) titled ‘Kuyilamma’ on 18th July 2026 at Bhavan’s S. Ramakrishnan Centre of Excellence, Sarva Dharma Maitri Pratishthan, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Thrissur Kendra. The programme was organized as a Teacher Enrichment Programme for Malayalam teachers of CBSE schools in Thrissur.
The session was led by Sri. Unni Ammayambalam, Sahitya Akademi Award winner, whose insightful and inspiring presentations enriched the participants with fresh perspectives on Malayalam language, literature, and effective classroom practices. His thought-provoking interactions encouraged teachers to explore innovative approaches to language teaching while fostering a deeper appreciation for Malayalam literary heritage.
A total of 61 Malayalam teachers from various CBSE schools participated in the programme. The session provided an excellent platform for professional development, collaborative learning, and the exchange of ideas among educators. The enthusiastic participation and positive feedback from the attendees made the programme a meaningful and successful initiative towards enhancing the quality of Malayalam language education.







Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Thrissur Kendra, in association with Madhuban Educational Books, successfully organized JAGRAN 2026 Phase-2 – Hindi, a Teacher Enrichment Programme, on 25th July 2026 at Bhavan’s S. Ramakrishnan Centre of Excellence, Sarva Dharma Maitri Pratishthan, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Thrissur Kendra. The programme was conducted exclusively for Hindi teachers of CBSE schools in Thrissur, with the objective of enhancing their professional competencies and enriching classroom teaching practices.
The resource person for the programme was Smt. Nirmal Dwivedi, Hindi Education Specialist, Senior Academic Leader, and CBSE Resource Person. Through her engaging sessions, she shared valuable insights into innovative teaching methodologies, competency-based learning, and effective pedagogical strategies aligned with the latest educational practices. The interactive discussions and practical approaches inspired the participants to adopt creative and learner-centric methods in Hindi language teaching.
The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 32 Hindi teachers from various CBSE schools across Thrissur. It served as an excellent platform for professional development, knowledge sharing, and collaborative learning among educators. The active involvement of the participants and the enriching sessions contributed to the overall success of the programme, reaffirming Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Thrissur Kendra's commitment to promoting academic excellence and continuous teacher development.
